It uses several precision drivers, each tuned for part of the music, and seals your ear far better, so you hear more detail at a lower volume. Musicians wear them on stage; audiophiles use them for studio-quality sound they can carry in a pocket.
Universal Fit seals with interchangeable ear tips, arrives in 5 working days and can be returned within 14 days with the hygiene seal unbroken. Custom Fit is hand-built from impressions of your ears for the best seal and comfort over long sessions. It takes about 3 weeks and comes with a free refit.
Choose Custom Fit and place your order. We email you our ear-impression guide. A local audiologist takes the impressions (usually charged separately), you send them in using our instructions, and your monitors are hand-built and delivered by DHL Express in about 3 weeks. If the fit is not right, we arrange a free refit.
3.5 mm works with most dongles, laptops and music players. 4.4 mm balanced suits dedicated music players and balanced DACs. 2.5 mm balanced is for older players that use that socket. You choose it on the product page before adding to your basket.
Unique Melody monitors are sold on pre-order. Universal Fit is delivered by DHL Express within 5 working days. Custom Fit takes about 3 weeks once we have your ear impressions. Delivery is free to the UK and the EU.

No. A well-sealed IEM blocks a lot of background noise, so you can listen at a lower volume, but in-ear monitors are not certified hearing protection. For concerts and loud places, use dedicated earplugs such as BOLLSEN Music SoundPRO.
