Authenticity of Customer Reviews
In accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/2161 (the EU Omnibus Directive) and its implementing regulations BOLLSEN is committed to publishing only genuine reviews from consumers who have actually purchased or used the reviewed products. This page explains how we collect, verify, and display customer reviews across all platforms.
1. Review Sources
We collect and display customer reviews from the following verified sources:
Reviews are collected directly on our website via the Judge.me widget. Only customers with a confirmed purchase receive a review invitation. Each review is cross-referenced against our order management system before publication. Unverified reviews are not accepted. Trustpilot reviews are displayed on our website via the official Trustpilot widget. Trustpilot operates its own independent fraud detection and content integrity systems. We use the Service Review Invitation feature, meaning review invitations are sent automatically after a completed order. We do not edit, filter, or selectively display Trustpilot reviews. Google customer reviews are displayed on our website via the official Google Reviews widget (Google Customer Reviews / Google Business Profile). These reviews are collected and moderated independently by Google in accordance with Google’s review policies. We do not influence, moderate, or selectively display Google reviews. Facebook (Meta) reviews and recommendations for our business page are displayed via the official Facebook Reviews widget. These reviews are collected and governed by Meta’s platform policies. We do not influence, moderate, or selectively display Facebook reviews. Learn more at Facebook’s recommendations policy.
2. Verification Methods
For reviews collected directly through our website (Judge.me & Wiser Review), verification is carried out by one or more of the following methods:
- Manual order verification: The review is cross-referenced with the order history in
our inventory management system to confirm a prior purchase before publication. - Personalised purchase-linked invitations: A unique review invitation link is sent
to the customer after a confirmed order. Access to the review form is restricted to that specific
purchase, preventing submissions from non-buyers. - Registered account verification: Where a customer submits a review while logged
into their account, the review is linked to a purchase made from that account.
3. What We Do Not Do
- We do not publish fake or incentivised reviews.
- We do not pay for positive reviews or offer discounts in exchange for reviews.
- We do not suppress or hide negative reviews from verified buyers.
- We do not submit reviews on behalf of customers.
- We do not manipulate review ratings or rankings in any way.
4. Average Ratings
Average star ratings displayed on our website are calculated automatically based on all verified reviews received on each respective platform. Ratings are updated in real time via the respective widgets and are not manually adjusted by BOLLSEN.
5. Complaints & Reporting False Reviews
If you believe a review on our website is fraudulent or does not comply with applicable platform policies, you may contact us at ask@bollsen.eu or report the review directly to the respective platform (Judge.me, Wiser Review, Trustpilot, Google, or Facebook) using their built-in reporting tools.
6. Legal Basis
This policy is published in compliance with Article 7(6) of Directive (EU) 2019/2161 (Omnibus Directive), which requires traders to inform consumers whether and how they ensure that published reviews originate from consumers who have actually used or purchased the product.
