Reviews

What owners and reviewers say

independent video reviews on this page

A long-standing favourite: audioreviews.org rated it a can't-go-wrong pick and Audiophile Heaven praised a stage that punches far above its price. The caveats are a lively 3–5 kHz region that can sound forward to sensitive ears, and a shell that suits medium to large ears best.

What they love

Natural timbre and coherence from the all-dynamic design (audioreviews.org)
Stage and imaging well above its price (Audiophile Heaven)
Clarity and transparency (Headfonia)
Beautiful wood craftsmanship, with every pair unique

Worth knowing

Upper mids can be forward for sensitive ears; a warmer source helps
The shell is fairly large and the nozzle short: long-stem tips fit best
The stock cable is functional rather than luxurious

Summarised from audioreviews.org, Audiophile Heaven, Headfonia.

FAQ

Your questions, answered

Why three dynamic drivers?

Using one driver type across the whole range keeps the sound coherent and the timbre natural. Two 7 mm drivers handle the bass and a 10 mm carbon-nanotube driver handles mids and treble, each in its own 3D-printed tube.

Will it work with my phone?

Yes. It is very easy to drive, so a phone with a simple USB-C dongle is enough.

Which plug does it come with?

A 3.5 mm plug, which works with almost every dongle, laptop and music player.

Is there a Custom Fit version?

The 3DT is sold as Universal Fit. If you want a custom-moulded monitor, look at the MEST MKII, MEXT or MEST MKIII CF.

How fast is delivery?

Sold on pre-order. Delivered by DHL Express within 5 working days.

What warranty and returns do I get?

A 2-year BOLLSEN warranty handled by our UK & EU team. Returns within 14 days with the hygiene seal unbroken. Your statutory rights are not affected.
