Close your eyes and the band is in the room.

The sound
Deep bass, natural voices, a huge stage.
Big, controlled bass and open, airy treble, now with bone conduction for a depth you can feel.
BOLLSEN sound map, summarised from independent reviews.
Maybe not for you if you want chest-thumping club bass or a bright, sparkly top end; MEST MKII gives a livelier U-shaped sound for less.

What owners and reviewers say
independent video reviews on this page
The Headphone List calls Maven III the best Unique Melody it has heard at any price, and twister6 praises its deep sub-bass, natural mids and huge, holographic stage. The main caveats are fit and taste: the nozzle holds tips loosely, and Mikaik Audio found the treble edgy rather than smooth.
What they love
- Deep, physical sub-bass rumble (twister6)
- Fuller, more natural vocals than Maven II (The Headphone List)
- Huge, holographic stage in all three directions (twister6)
- Smooth, fatigue-free treble with plenty of air (The Headphone List)
Worth knowing
- One reviewer hears a bright 6 kHz edge and thin lower mids
- Smooth-bore tips can slip off the short, lipless nozzle
- 4.4 mm only; sound shifts with source, tips & volume
Summarised from The Headphone List, twister6, Mikaik Audio.

FAQ
Your questions, answered
Maven III or Maven II?
Reviewers hear Maven III as more natural: fuller vocals, deeper sub-bass, smoother treble and a more holographic stage. twister6 felt Maven II keeps a slight edge in layering and airiness, so treble lovers may still like the older set.
What do the bone-conduction drivers add?
Reviewers do not hear them as extra bass. The Headphone List credits them with more depth, height and immersion in the stage, adding that the effect stays natural rather than gimmicky.
Which plug does it come with?
The cable is included and ends in a 4.4 mm balanced plug, the connection dedicated music players and balanced DACs use. If your source only has a 3.5 mm socket, add a 4.4 mm dongle DAC or ask us which one suits you.
Do I need an amplifier?
No dedicated amplifier is needed. A good 4.4 mm balanced player or dongle DAC drives it well.
How fast is delivery?
Delivered by DHL Express in 5–7 working days.
What warranty and returns do I get?
A 2-year BOLLSEN warranty handled by our UK & EU team. Returns within 14 days with the hygiene seal unbroken. Your statutory rights are not affected.
