Bold, controlled bass and airy, extended treble in a titanium shell built to last.
Reviews from verified owners of the Unique Melody Maven II.
The most well balanced IEMs I’ve ever tried. Satisfying tight bass, sparkling treble, crystal clear soud. Very very good!
The Maven II is a highly commendable investment, not only for its affordable price but also for its features. It boasts dynamic sound quality, featuring airy treble, well-balanced mids, textured bass, and a spacious soundstage. The earbuds are comfortable and fit perfectly, providing an enjoyable listening experience when paired with the right eartips. These titanium earbuds are sure to impress for a long time!
My first UM iem
Great all-rounder especially for metal, the bass is fast and responsive and the soundstage is enormous. Great iem.
I’ve been blown away by this set since I opened it. There is a grandeur here that you don’t find in many iems at twice the cost. The sub and mid-bass are breathtaking while imaging and staging is holographic and feels like an enormous cathedral. I think the overall physicality and visceral qualities separate this IEM from everything I’ve heard in it’s price range. I can’t find fault with it.
Brave Unique Melody. Bravo!

At the core of the Maven II lies a sophisticated 10-driver hybrid architecture engineered for ultimate precision and coherence. Dual dynamic drivers handle the low frequencies with power and depth, while balanced armature drivers deliver clean, detailed mids and highs. Completing the system, electrostatic (EST) drivers extend the upper frequencies, adding air, sparkle and ultra-fine detail.
This complex setup is managed by a precise 5-way crossover, ensuring seamless transitions across the entire frequency range. The result is a highly resolving, balanced and immersive sound signature that captures every nuance with remarkable accuracy and control.
The Maven II pushes hybrid technology to the next level with a refined multi-driver configuration designed for both power and precision. At its core, a dual dynamic driver system — combining 9.8mm and 6.9mm drivers — delivers deep, textured bass with exceptional naturalness and impact. This advanced setup enhances low-frequency performance, providing a physical and immersive foundation rarely achieved in in-ear monitors.
Complementing this, balanced armature and electrostatic drivers handle mid, high and ultra-high frequencies with remarkable clarity and extension. Managed through a precise crossover system, each driver operates in perfect harmony, creating a seamless and highly coherent sound signature. The result is a rich, detailed and immersive listening experience where power, resolution and balance coexist effortlessly.
Crafted from lightweight, aerospace-grade titanium, the Maven II combines exceptional strength with refined elegance. Its ultra-thin yet durable shell ensures long-lasting performance while providing a comfortable, ergonomic fit for extended listening sessions.
Engineered for performance, the UM Copper M2 RE cable enhances signal clarity and stability. Its high-quality construction ensures a clean, natural sound transmission while offering durability and flexibility for everyday use.
Unique Melody hand-builds in-ear monitors and custom monitors for listeners and musicians around the world, and keeps trying ideas other brands do not.
The original MEST brought a bone-conduction driver into an in-ear monitor. Today UM combines up to four driver technologies in one shell.
Carbon fibre, zirconia ceramic, 3D-printed titanium, stabilised wood and walnut: each chosen for how it sounds as much as how it looks.
UM has built custom monitors from ear impressions for years. Selected models are available as Custom Fit, moulded to your ears.

Reviewers call it Unique Melody’s best bass: Headfonics scored the custom version 9/10 and Twister6 called it exceptional. Its bright, V-leaning tuning divides opinion, though, and one respected reviewer rated it only average, so it suits listeners who want energy more than lush vocals.

Made for your ears only
The Custom Fit Maven II is hand-built from impressions of your own ears. A full-shell seal gives steadier bass, better isolation from background noise and all-day comfort, and reviewers say it is where Unique Melody’s sound comes fully alive.
How it works
Custom monitors are made to order for you, so the 14-day change-of-mind return does not apply. Your 2-year warranty and statutory rights do.
Universal Fit is ready quickly and uses ear tips. Custom Fit is built to your ear impressions for a perfect seal and better isolation, and it is the version most reviewers tested.
No. The Maven line uses dynamic, balanced-armature and electrostatic drivers only. If you want bone conduction, look at the MEST family or MEXT.
3D-printed titanium can show tiny marks from the printing process, and that is normal. Titanium is very scratch-resistant, but a deep scratch can discolour over time.
A good dongle or music player is enough. It is slightly less sensitive than some IEMs, so a balanced 4.4 mm output gives it extra headroom.
With a universal IEM the ear tip decides the seal, and the seal decides the bass and the treble. Try every size and type in the box before judging the sound: the right tip sits snugly without pressure and the bass suddenly fills in. Reviewers say this matters on almost every Unique Melody model.
Choose it above, before you add it to your basket. 3.5 mm works with most dongles, laptops and music players. 4.4 mm balanced suits dedicated music players and balanced DACs and gives more control. 2.5 mm balanced is for older players that use that socket.
Choose Custom Fit and place your order. We email you our ear-impression guide.
