Which earplugs to use and when?

Our recommendation: Watersafe+ earplugs are suitable for people who have sensitive ears. The standard version is also suitable for small people and children. Tall people can get their perfect fit earplugs here.

How to correctly insert the earplugs?

Very simple: Place the earplugs on the top of your finger and then slightly twist them into your ear canal. The material then adapts to the shape of your ear canal. Once you leave the water, pull them out using the tab with a flick of the wrist.

Do the earplugs for swimming fall out during sports?

No. This is ensured by the conical shape, the 2-lamellae design and the malleable silicone. We designed our earplugs to firmly adapt to your ear canal, but at the same time be easily removed thanks to the tab.

Do Watersafe+ earplugs also work as a hearing protection?

Yes. The earplugs have a 2-in-1 function: They prevent water from entering into your ear canal and at the same time dampen the surrounding noises to protect your hearing. Independent tests have put the insulation at an average of 24 dB (SNR). As for that, you can enjoy a carefree bathing day, but still hear the important sounds.

I do a lot of swimming, and hadn’t really found anything on the market that I could use with confidence, until I purchased the Bollsen ones, not cheap but certainly worth it, the best I’ve ever had, easy to fit inside the ear, nothing gets through excellent product.

I bought these as my son has a perforated ear drum and can't get any water in his ear. These are easy to put in and water tight.

I needed ear plugs to stop water going into ears whilst showering to avoid repeated infection. I think yourear plugs are the best plugs available. I would have liked different colours to make sure that I do not transfer infection from one side to the other and advice on best way of cleaning and drying the earplugs. Thanks for two sets. Great earplugs

Thanks, Bollsen, for designing a pair of neat earplugs. They fit my ears well, and are further secured by my swim hat. My only disappointment was the metal storage container, which is metal and deep. Once the earplugs are inside, it’s very difficult to prise them out of the metal tube.

Improved more than just my swim!

I’m a life long swimmer - at times a lifeguard, triathlete, and I taught swimming for 16 years. I grew up on the Great Lakes and have always been a water baby. The pandemic kept me from the pool for 18 months and it was the longest I’ve been out of the water since I was born! When I finally got back, I started having trouble with my ears - a combination of pressure and water and it pushed me out of the pool again. I’ve had this issue off and on over the years but more recently it became a huge deterrent. I finally invested in the Bollsen swim ear plugs and it’s not just the freedom with my stroke that has returned to me, but all the wonderful endorphins that come with exercise and - for me - swimming in particular. Thank you for giving my swim back to me.

Angenehm beim schwimmen zu tragen kein Wasser dringt ein und die Aufbewahrungskapsel ist auch sehr praktisch. Der Preis ist etwas hoch für einen Ohrenschutz.

Ich hatte vor kurzem eine hässliche Außenohrenentzündung. Schwimmbad-Otitis...schlimme Schmerzen...
Seitdem benutze ich selbst zu Hause in der Badewanne und beim Haarewaschen das Produkt, nicht nur bei Schwimmen und Baden. Es schützt perfekt und hat mir die Angst genommen,wieder ins Wasser zu gehen. Die Ohrenschmerzen waren brutal. Man hat da Angst, dass wieder Wasser ins Ohr kommt. Mit diesem Produkt habe ich aber die volle Sicherheit, dass es nicht passiert. Ich kann dieses Produkt jedem weiterempfehlen. Hand aufs Herz!
