Solid alternative to ear muffsBeen using the workPRO on the building site for nearly 3/4 weeks now and have to say I'm super happy. Comfortable Effective Hearing ProtectionI bought the Bollsen ear plugs for game shooting, but tried them out on the clay ground. They are a comfortable fit and work perfectly, I could hear the trap working in the high tower, but the noise from my Beretta was comfortably reduced. I would recommend Bollsen ear plugs, a well made reasonably priced effective product.

Good ear protection for clay pigeon shotsJust bought these and used them for the first time this week on a clay pigeon shoot. Very comfortable and better than foam plugs - much easier to hear conversation. Not as good in this respect as expensive over-ear protectors but big over-ear protectors do not allow you to mount the gun properly. A very good product at an excellent price.

Pleasantly surprisedI'm currently using them at my summer job (tunnel construction) and I'm very happy with them. Disturbing noises are still there, but they're pleasant to listen to. You can understand others without any problems and have a normal conversation with them. Small downside: you hear yourself a bit more muffled and less clearly, but that takes some getting used to.

Can I wear these under ear defenders?
Yes, and on the range you should. WorkPRO is low-profile and does not stick out, so muffs fit over the top without lifting the seal.
Is WorkPRO enough for shooting?
Gunfire arrives as an impulse peak of 140 dB and above, and no in-ear plug brings that into a safe range on its own. Wear WorkPRO under ear defenders on the range. For the drive, the machinery and the kennels, the plugs do the job on their own.
What is the actual rating?
SNR 24 dB, tested to EN 352-2 by PZT GmbH, an independent German laboratory. The breakdown is H 24 dB, M 21 dB, L 19 dB, so the reduction is strongest at high frequencies, where most tool noise sits.
Will I still hear my colleagues?
Yes. WorkPRO takes the harsh tool noise down while speech stays clear, so you can still talk to your crew and hear the radio.
Which size will I get?

How long do they last, and how do I clean them?
Around 100 uses. Rinse them with lukewarm water and mild soap, let them dry, and keep them in the aluminium case. Replace them after about four months of daily wear.
When does my employer have to provide hearing protection?
Under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005, hearing protection must be made available once daily exposure reaches 80 dB(A), and its use must be enforced at 85 dB(A). Most power tools sit above both.
