Bollsen ear plugs

Bought direct from Bollsen. Plugs looked substantial online. When they arrived,very quickly l must say, they appeared rather flimsy. Seem to be made from a type of silicone. However, l was pleasantly surprised. It takes a wee bit of practice to get them into the right position in the ear canal. Initially l found that my ear was a little tender from pressure soreness in one ear. Probably because l am a side sleeper and hadn't quite inserted the plug in the right position. A bit of practice finding the right position in the ear canal alleviated the discomfort. The plugs once inserted create a vacuum in the ear canal as they warm up. They do not cut out all the noise but they eliminate most noise. My partner is a noisy breather, hence me trying plugs and l must say these plugs are the bees knees. I found that l do not hear her at all now and have been having great sleeps since using these plugs. I would highly recommend the product.

Really good earplugs

I’ve been using these for nearly a year now and they’ve really helped me sleep better. They are comfortable and easy to insert (once you get the hang of it) and hugely reduce the sounds that used to disturb my sleep - planes, traffic, husband snuffling or snoring, etc. So pleased I discovered these.
They come with a very handy little metal tube for storage when travelling etc - I wish this were optional however as you really don’t need a new one with each purchase.

Work for me

I am a very light sleeper, so good earplugs are essential for me. For years I've been using the foam variety, commonly available in shops. However, Bollsen work much better for me, as they create a tight seal and - for lack of a better word - mini-vacuum inside my ear canal, and that really does the trick for me.
I have very heavy-footed neighbours in the flat above mine, with a very active toddler, whose stomping I can still hear early in the morning - hence four stars, as I was hoping for near-total silence with Bollsen.
I will be buying those again, but need to check if something even more robust is available. But overall - these are very good.

As good as I could have hoped for

I wanted to prevent outdoor sounds (rooks cawing from daybreak) from waking me too early. They effectively muffled the noise. They are fairly comfortable but one of my ears felt a bit sore after a few nights of wear - the ear pushing into the pillow as I am a side sleeper. They have yellowed, presumably from contact with ear wax and I am uncertain whether and how to clean them. I am prone to ear wax build up and want to cause as little irritation as possible. I think they are expensive especially as they only last months, but overall I am satisfied.

The best I've tried!

These are without doubt the best ear plugs I've tried. Whilst they do not conceal all sound, they reduce the noise (ie partner's snorts and snores) to a level bearable to enable sleep. Bouts of extremely loud snoring can still be a problem, but these ear plugs work for the majority.
