Are earplugs even allowed when driving?

Yes, they are. They are even recommended and are mandatory in some types of motorsports. After all, permanent hearing loss can end your driving career, regardless of your experience.

How do I still hear the important sounds?

We equip our Moto+ earplugs with our specially developed filter technology. As a result, they almost completely dampen low-frequency noises, such as the wind. High frequencies, such as the siren of an ambulance, the horn of a car, the sound of the engine or conversations with friends, are still understandable.

Which size should I order?

The standard version, you purchase on this page, nicely fits medium-sized ears: rather small to medium-sized men or medium to large-sized women. As the silicone adapts to your ear canal, it fits most people comfortably after a certain period. What else is important for delivery?

Great Improvement

The numbers don’t lie, these are a great improvement over my previous ear plugs. 10dbs doesn’t sound much of a gain over my old ones, but the difference is very noticeable. The wind noise in my helmet was much reduced, but my intercom was still clear. They are slightly more tricky to get a good fit due to the curved shape which meant one side was noisy until I figured out what I was doing wrong, but they both work perfectly now. I’m very pleased with the results.

I have tried a number of products to protect my ears whilst on the bike, some have filtered the noise but have proved uncomfortable for prolonged use. Others have failed to stay in place and just served to irritate. I had got to the point where I was ready to invest in custom made but thought I would give Bollsen a try after reading some really positive reviews. Wow these have been a game changer for me. These work well for motorcycle use. Goof suppression of wind noise, allowing speech and other ambient noise to be heard at the same time. Not as isolating nor as quiet as fully inserted foam plugs but much more practical. Easily inserted and easily cleaned. The little screw top metal tub to put them i is excellent.
